A new 55,000sf single level school structure that utilizes a wood framed roof structure in the classrooms and an open web steel joist structure in the gymnasium. The walls are masonry bearing walls. The seismic and wind forces are resisted by the roof diaphragm and masonry shear walls. The floors are concrete slab on grade with conventional spread footings.
