Spalding Hall Renovation, Lewis Clark State College – Lewiston, ID

This project is the renovation of the existing, 3-story, masonry structure that was built in 1924 as a dormitory. The south wing concrete structure was added and built in 1950. The renovation of this structure into office space included structural design and analysis for compliance with current accessibility codes by leveling the floors and adding a new stair tower, design and detailing to upgrade the building to current structural code requirements for seismic and wind resistance, design and analysis to support a new mechanical heating and cooling system, design and analysis for the reconstruction and reconfiguration of interior spaces for new walls, openings, ramps and stairs, and the design and analysis for restoration and repair of the exterior walls and site retaining walls.
