AHJ provides structural consulting for architectural, industrial, and construction clients. This consists of structural analysis, design and working drawings for all types of building projects. In addition, assistance is provided in the selection of structural systems, cost control, evaluation of existing facilities and construction administration.

New Buildings
AHJ Engineers provides structural engineering services for all new building types. Services range from small ‘Calc and Sketch’ projects to complete involvement starting with Schematic Design though Construction Administration. Typical clients include: Architects, owners, developers, government entities, contractors and fabricators.
Existing Buildings
AHJ Engineers has extensive experience in working with existing buildings. Typical services include: Structural building assessments, Due Diligence Reports, Seismic Retrofits, Component Evaluations/Strengthening, Historic Restorations, Building Repurposing, Facility Expansions and Column Removal for open floor plans.
Specialty Services
AHJ Engineers is frequently called upon to provide Specialty Services related to building design. These services include, but are not limited to, Blast Design Determination for Federal Buildings, Plan Review Services for Municipalities, Retaining Wall and Footbridge Designs, Revit 3D Modeling, Public Art Installations, Arena Event Roof Loading Evaluations, Peer Reviews and Expert Witness/Opinion Services.
3D Modeling
BIM as a presentation tool has waxed and waned in popularity for construction documents. AHJ is prepared to create drawings in either a 2D or 3D environment. Design concepts and construction details can be readily understood and coordinated using BIM and therefore AHJ Engineers has incorporated Autodesk Revit as our primary drawing medium.
